Bacon Cheeseburger Queso Dip

Nice way to kick-up queso. We loved the addition of bacon in this recipe. It's all the flavors of a cheeseburger in dip form. This is a super easy party appetizer. We used the original Ro-tel tomatoes in this one, but if you want more heat use one of the hotter ones. Turn up the heat to your liking! The Test Kitchen
1 lblean ground beef, I used ground turkey breast and it was just as good
1 lblight Velveeta cheese, cubed
4 ozreduced-fat cream cheese, softened and cubed
114.5 oz can diced tomatoes, w/ chiles, drained
1 lbbacon cooked and crumbled, I used center cut bacon
1/2 cmilk, you may need more
1 cshredded Mexican-style cheese
How to Make Bacon Cheeseburger Queso Dip
- In large skillet over med-high heat, brown beef or ground turkey, drain the beef. Then, saute diced onion in large skillet until translucent. In large saucepan, melt Velveeta cheese, cream cheese and 1/2 cup milk.
- Stir over medium heat until melted. Add shredded Mexican cheese, beef (or turkey), tomatoes and bacon. Mix until combined.
- If too thick, add in a little more milk.
