another artichoke and spinach dip

I love spinach. And I love Artichokes. Add them together and I'm in heaven!

Ingredients

  • 10 ounces frozen spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons minced onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons flour
  • 1 1/4 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/4 cups fresh parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup white sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup canned artichoke hearts, chopped

How To Make another artichoke and spinach dip

  • Step 1
    In large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and saute onion and garlic until onion is soft (about 2 minutes.)
  • Step 2
    Add the flour and cook for another minute.
  • Step 3
    Add milk and whisk constantly until thickened.
  • Step 4
    Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice, Worcestershire, parmesan and sour cream.
  • Step 5
    Return to heat and add spinach, cheddar, artichokes and stir until cheese melts and dip is heated thoroughly.
  • Step 6
    Serve with tortilla chips or sliced baguette.
