this is a great chocolate syrup to serve over ice cream and pies or what ever else you may want to put on it i love it by it self but not to much

3/4 c
brown sugar, light
3/4 c
1 c
hersheys cocoa powder
1 c
cold water
1/4 tsp
kosher salt
1 Tbsp
vanilla extract

How to Make Homemade Chocolate Syrup


  • 1in a medium saucepan whisk together salt, sugars and cocoa until they are combined and there are no lumps.
  • 2add the water and whisk to combine. turn heat to medium and bring to a boil, whisking frequently.
  • 3reduce the heat to medium low whisking occasionally. allow the mixture to simmer until it has slightly reduced and. thickened
  • 4remove from the heat and stir in vanilla. pour into a mason jar and allow to come to room temperature. cover and refrigerate.
