My gramma made this for us as kids, needless to say grammas was our favorite place to visit....

  • 3 Tbsp
    powdered unsweetened cocoa
  • ·
    sugar to taste
  • 1 dash(es)
    vanilla, i always forget the vanilla!

How to Make Grammas Chocolate Gravy


  1. Melt butter in heavy skillet over medium heat. Add flour and stir to make a rue. After flour browns lightly, stir in cocoa. Add milk slowly to make a gravy. When thickened, add sugar to taste. We liked ours sweet!
  2. Serve hot gravy over split homemade biscuits. Your husband will never leave.
