This recipe originally came from a ladies church cookbook from First Assembly of God in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It's not your typical mustard based potato salad.

  • 4-5 c
    cubed, red potatoes (cooked)
  • 1 bag(s)
    shrimp (small or medium is fine)
  • 2 Tbsp
    lime juice
  • 1 clove
  • 1/2 c
    celery, diced
  • 1/4 c
    green onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • 1/2 c
    mayonnaise (not miracle whip)
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
    dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp
    crushed tarragon
  • 1/4 tsp
    white pepper

How to Make Shrimp Potato Salad


  1. Rinse shrimp, mix with lime juice and chill.
  2. Rub salad bowl with garlic clove.
  3. Mix everything (but potatoes) well.
  4. Salt potatoes to tasted.
  5. Gently stir in potatoes.
  6. Refrigerate. This potato salad needs a few hours in the refrigerator for best taste.
