I grew up in a big family. My mom would always make this easy and delish macaroni salad. I remember her using a whole jar of miracle whip for the sauce. It was great.

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
  • 14 ounces can peas drained
  • 1 small can tuna drained
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 8 large eggs boiled and peeled
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese chopped small
  • 4 cups miracle whip
  • 1/4 cup yellow mustard
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon each salt, celery seed, onion powder, and garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons paprika

How To Make mom's tuna mac salad

  • Step 1
    Mix first six ingredients together leaving 3 eggs for topping. Set aside.
  • Step 2
    In separate bowl mix remaining ingredients except paprika until smooth. Pour over macaroni mixture and stir until well combined.
  • Step 3
    Top with other 3 egg slices and sprinkle paprika on top. Refrigerate until well chilled.
