Ingredients

  • 1 c
    ditalini or elbow macaroni
  • 1 1/2 c
    fully-cooked ham, cut into small cubes
  • 4 oz
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 c
    frozen peas, thawed
  • 1 stalk(s)
    celery, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 c
    finely chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp
    pimento, diced
  • 1/2 c
    mayonnaise
  • 1/4 c
    sweet pickle relish
  • 1 or 2 Tbsp
    milk, if needed
  • ·
    salt and pepper, to taste

How to Make Ham and Macaroni Salad

Step-by-Step

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain, rinse with cold water, and drain again.
  2. In small bowl, mix mayonnaise, relish, milk, and salt and pepper. Set aside.
  3. Combine pasta and remaining ingredients in a large bowl. Pour dressing over top and toss to coat.
  4. Chill for 4 hours or overnight.
  5. Serving suggestion: garnish with sliced cherry tomatoes and fresh parsley.
