Have made this for years. It is just a common recipe here in Nebraska. Very simple and delicious. Great for a picnic or tailgate as there is no mayonnaise. A link to the dressing recipe will be in the comment right after the recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound salad pasta of your choice
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 small green pepper, diced
  • 2 stalks celery, diced
  • 2 cups frozen peas, thawed and drained
  • 2 cups diced ham (salami works too)
  • - dorothy lynch salad dressing or other sweet type french dressing (recipe link to follow in comments)
  • - salt and pepper to taste

How To Make dorothy lynch macaroni salad

  • Step 1
    Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and chill with cold water. Drain well. (The cook time is for the pasta.)
  • Step 2
    Combine all other ingredients except dressing and salt and pepper.
  • Step 3
    Add dressing to moisten. Mix well. Chill for several hours. Adjust seasoning and stir before serving.
