    cabbage head, coarsely chopped
  • 1
    green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2
    white onions, chopped
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    salad oil
  • 1 c
    white vinegar
  • 2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    celery seed

How to Make Three-week Cole Slaw

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix all chopped vegetables in a very large bowl with lid.
  2. Cook together sugar, vegetable oil, vinegar and seasonings until dissolved. Do not scorch.
  3. Pour hot dressing over slaw. Cover and refrigerate, stirring a few times to marinate. Keeps three weeks.
