While visiting my aunt in southern Missouri this past weekend, she served this very refreshing and tasty bean salad. The flavor was enhanced more after it sat in the refrigerator for a couple days. She indicated she often takes this dish to potluck dinners and everyone loves it.

Ingredients

  • 1 can green beans, drained (regular sized can)
  • 1 can wax beans or any other kind you prefer (regular sized can)
  • 1 can kidney beans, drained (regular sized can)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • - sliced onion rings

How To Make three bean vegetable salad - steph

  • Step 1
    Drain all cans of vegetables. Slice an onion into rings. Mix the sugar, cider vinegar, oil, salt and pepper together well.
  • Step 2
    Pour the dressing over the vegetables and let refrigerate over night. ENJOY!!
