  • 3 oz
    package of oriental noodles with chicken flavoring (uncooked)
  • 4 c
    cabbage, shredded
  • 2 Tbsp
    sesame seeds
  • 4
    green onions
  • 3 Tbsp
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground white pepper
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1/2 c
    slivered almonds (toasted)

How to Make Oriental Cabbage Salad


  1. Break dry noodles and place in colander. Pour boiling water over noodles to soften them slightly. Drain well.
  2. In a large bowl combine noodles, cabbage, onions and sesame seeds.
  3. For dressing, in a screw top jar, combine seasoning packet from noodles, vinegar, sugar, oil, pepper and salt. Shake to mix well.
  4. Pour dressing over cabbage mix and toss. Cover and chill several hours or over night. Before serving stir in slivered almonds.
