Ingredients

  • 3 ounces package of oriental noodles with chicken flavoring (uncooked)
  • 4 cups cabbage, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 4 - green onions
  • 3 tablespoons vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds (toasted)

How To Make oriental cabbage salad

  • Step 1
    Break dry noodles and place in colander. Pour boiling water over noodles to soften them slightly. Drain well.
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl combine noodles, cabbage, onions and sesame seeds.
  • Step 3
    For dressing, in a screw top jar, combine seasoning packet from noodles, vinegar, sugar, oil, pepper and salt. Shake to mix well.
  • Step 4
    Pour dressing over cabbage mix and toss. Cover and chill several hours or over night. Before serving stir in slivered almonds.
