I buy Ham Steaks when they are on sale. Instead of buying Deviled Ham in a can. I decided to make my own. There is only 3 grams of fat in this version. It is very tasty. You can also make it with regular mayonnaise at 8 grams of fat per serving.

Ingredients For nor's low fat deviled ham spread

    large ham steaks chopped with outside skin trimmed off,or about a pound of baked ham.
  • 2
    medium stalks of celery
  • 1/4 c
    chopped onion
  • 1 tsp
    maple syrup
  • 1 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 3 - 4 Tbsp
    hellman's light mayonnaise,or regular mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp
    paprika
  • 1 tsp
    yellow mustard
  • 1/2 tsp
    dry mustard
  • dash
    salt and pepper
  • 1 Tbsp
    pineapple juice
  • 2 tsp
    maple syrup
  • 1 tsp
    parsley flakes
  • 1
    sweet pickle chopped
  • 1/2 tsp
    hot sauce optional

How To Make nor's low fat deviled ham spread

    Dry off Ham steaks to remove some of the moisture.Put the cubed ham in a food processor. Process until chopped finely. Remove to a bowl.

    Place the rest of the ingredients in the food processor and mix really well.

    Add the sauce you made to the Ham a little at a time and combine to the consistency you like.
