marinated vegetable salad

Given to me by Auntie Jewel. We usually had this with Ham. Note: we did not have pimento in ours but you can add if so desired.

Ingredients For marinated vegetable salad

  • 1 can
  • 1 can
    english peas
  • 1 can
    green beans
  • 1 can
    sliced carrots
  • 1 md
    onion chopped
  • 1 md
    bell pepper chopped
  • 1 c
    celery chopped
  • 3/4 c
  • 3/4 c
    vegetable oil
  • 6 Tbsp
    sugar or splenda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste

How To Make marinated vegetable salad

    Drain canned vegetables and pour in large plastic bowl w/lid. Add chopped onion, bell pepper and celery.

    Mix in small bowl, vinegar, oil, sugar and spices. Add to vegetable bowl. Marinate in refrigerator over night. Stir several times. Keeps well.
