This is my family's favorite recipe for lunch. Either on bread or with lettuce as a salad. I use the fake crab pieces (pollock or cod), and sometimes add shrimp. I don't have specific quantities for the mayo because I just put as much as I like. Some people like more. I have substituted cooked chicken for the seafood and made chicken salad too. I hope you like it!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups cooked seafood (shrimp) or imitation crab meat (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon capers (finely chopped) or to taste
  • 2 teaspoons parsley flakes (can use fresh)
  • 1 teaspoon dried chives (can use fresh)
  • 1/2 cup celery (chopped)

How To Make kristin's seafood salad

  • Step 1
    Chop seafood and celery
  • Step 2
Mix rest of the ingredients to make the dressing
  • Step 3
Mix all together and chill well
  • Step 4
I love it just with lettuce or in a sandwich. I think it tastes even better the next day. I have used this same dressing and substituted chicken (for the seafood) and made a chicken salad too. Enjoy!
