This recipe is easy to make. Because it's sweet, it's the perfect side dish for teriyaki marinated salmon on the grill or a smoked pull pork dish. The crunchiness of this dish is what makes it taste so good!

head of napa cabbage
2 pkg
ramen noodles soup (throw out seasoning packet)
1/2 c
sesame seeds
1 stick
butter, unsalted
2 pkg
small packages of slivered almonds
1 c
olive oil
1/2 c
white vinegar
2 tsp
soy sauce
1 c

How to Make Crunchy Slaw


  • 1Smash the Ramen noodles. Brown ramen noodles, sesame seeds, and almonds in the melted butter until light tan in color.
  • 2Chop the cabbage and scallions fine.
  • 3Store the noodle combo and the cabbage mixture separately.
  • 4Mix dressing: olive oil, white vinegar, soy sauce and sugar together until sugar dissolves. Store dressing separately.
  • 520 minutes before serving, mix cabbage, onion, and nut mixture with dressing. Start with half of the dressing and add more, if necessary.

    This will not keep once mixed together.
