I used to always buy pre-made cole slaw for years, until I noticed they started selling pre-shredded cabbage and carrots. I've made my own ever since.

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    cider vinegar
  • 2 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp
    celery seeds
  • 2 pkg
    cole slaw mix (i like the tri-colored), about 5 cups

How to Make Cole Slaw

Step-by-Step

  1. Whisk together ingredients for dressing in a non-metal bowl until sugar dissolves.
  2. Toss with slaw vegetables of choice.
  3. Refrigerate at least 4 hours, or better, overnight.
    Toss well before serving.
