Ingredients

TACO MEAT

1 lb
ground beef
1/4 c
homemade taco seasoning
3/4 c
water
15 oz
black beans, canned
1 c
corn, canned optional

SALAD

lettuce head
onion
tomato
picante sauce
mexican blend shredded cheese
sour cream, opitional

How to Make Taco Salad

Step-by-Step

  • 1Taco Meat:
    Brown and drain ground beef. Add the homemade taco seasoning stir to mix. Add water, black beans and corn if using. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
  • 2While the taco meat mixture is simmering, either tear or chop the lettuce, onion and tomatoes. Place in separate bowls for serving.
  • 3Place some of the lettuce either in a bowl or on a plate. Top with the remaing ingredients as you like. Top with sour cream and enjoy.
