  • TACO MEAT

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/4 c
    homemade taco seasoning
  • 3/4 c
    water
  • 15 oz
    black beans, canned
  • 1 c
    corn, canned optional
  • SALAD

  • ·
    lettuce head
  • ·
    onion
  • ·
    tomato
  • ·
    picante sauce
  • ·
    mexican blend shredded cheese
  • ·
    sour cream, opitional

How to Make Taco Salad

Step-by-Step

  1. Taco Meat:
    Brown and drain ground beef. Add the homemade taco seasoning stir to mix. Add water, black beans and corn if using. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
  2. While the taco meat mixture is simmering, either tear or chop the lettuce, onion and tomatoes. Place in separate bowls for serving.
  3. Place some of the lettuce either in a bowl or on a plate. Top with the remaing ingredients as you like. Top with sour cream and enjoy.
