There are many versions of this dish out there. This one is my favorite. I love how it looks in a trifle dish. Great for summer picnics and parties. Tastes better the next day.

  • 8 c
    iceberg lettuce
  • 1 medium
    red onion sliced into rings
  • 10 pkg
    frozen peas thawed
  • 6 oz
    ham chunks
  • 2 large
    tomatoes diced
  • 1 1/2 c
    real mayonnaise
  • 1/2 c
    grated parmesan
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 c
    sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 12 oz
    bacon cooked and crumbled

How to Make Layered Salad


  1. Layer the lettuce,onions, peas, ham, and tomatoes in dish.
  2. Mix together the mayo, parmesan, salt and pepper. spread over layers.
  3. Top with cheese then bacon
  4. Let sit in fridge at least 6 hours overnight is better.
