My mom made this every Thanksgiving. Then as I got older, it became my job. I haven't made it in recent years, but I still love it... and so does my son!

  • 6
red delicious apples, cored, cut into bite-sized chunks
  • 1 tsp
    lemon juice
  • 1 bag(s)
    walnuts, chopped
  • 1 1/2 c
  • 1-1 1/2 c

How to Make Simple Waldorf Salad

  1. Core the apples. Cut into bite-sized chunks. You can peel them, but I like to leave the peel on. It adds a nice color to the salad.
  2. As you cut up the apple, place chunks in large bowl of water with the lemon juice added to the water, to prevent browning.
  3. Drain apples. Combine remaining ingredients with apples & mayonnaise.
  4. Chill before serving.
