simple waldorf salad
My mom made this every Thanksgiving. Then as I got older, it became my job. I haven't made it in recent years, but I still love it... and so does my son!

Ingredients
- 6 - red delicious apples, cored, cut into bite-sized chunks
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 bag walnuts, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups raisins
- 1-1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
How To Make simple waldorf salad
-
Step 1Core the apples. Cut into bite-sized chunks. You can peel them, but I like to leave the peel on. It adds a nice color to the salad.
-
Step 2As you cut up the apple, place chunks in large bowl of water with the lemon juice added to the water, to prevent browning.
-
Step 3Drain apples. Combine remaining ingredients with apples & mayonnaise.
-
Step 4Chill before serving.
