My mom made this every Thanksgiving. Then as I got older, it became my job. I haven't made it in recent years, but I still love it... and so does my son!

Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

6
red delicious apples, cored, cut into bite-sized chunks
1 tsp
lemon juice
1 bag(s)
walnuts, chopped
1 1/2 c
raisins
1-1 1/2 c
mayonnaise

How to Make Simple Waldorf Salad

Step-by-Step

  • 1Core the apples. Cut into bite-sized chunks. You can peel them, but I like to leave the peel on. It adds a nice color to the salad.
  • 2As you cut up the apple, place chunks in large bowl of water with the lemon juice added to the water, to prevent browning.
  • 3Drain apples. Combine remaining ingredients with apples & mayonnaise.
  • 4Chill before serving.
