This is a really cool dessert. I make it year around..not just summertime.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (3 oz) cherry jello
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 can (8 3/4 oz) pineapple tidbits
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 package (envelope) dream whip
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 - banana, diced
  • 1/2 cup seeded grapes
  • 1/4 cup diced cherries
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • - dash of salt

How To Make frozen fruit medley

  • Step 1
    Dissolve gelatin and salt in boiling water. Drain pineapple; add water to syrup to make 1/2 cup. Stir liquid and lemon juice into gelatin. Chill about 1 hour, 15 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Step 2
    Prepare whipped topping and mix with mayonnaise, fruits, and nuts. Blend into slightly thickened gelatin.
  • Step 3
    Spoon into 8" x 14" loaf pan. Freeze until firm. To unmold; let stand at room temperature 30 minutes before slicing. Place each slice on individual plate garnished with a bed of lettuce.
