This is an easy recipe and a great way to repurpose the leftover holiday bird. Serve it as a sandwich on your favorite bread, a stuffed tomato or avocado, a salad on a bed of lettuce or as an appetizer on crackers or in a lettuce wrap. We even eat it right out of the bowl on chips. Good stuff!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups cooked turkey or chicken, chopped medium-small (about 1/2" inch)
  • 1 cup miracle whip
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup chopped sweet pickles
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 2 or 3 large hard boiled eggs, chopped (optional)

How To Make turkey salad/chicken salad

  • Step 1
    In mixing bowl, stir together turkey or chicken and Miracle Whip.
  • Step 2
    Mix in celery and pickles.
  • Step 3
    Add eggs, if using, and mix in lightly.
  • Step 4
    Taste and add salt and extra Miracle Whip if needed.
  • Step 5
    Cover and refrigerate leftovers.
