taco pie
I call this my "almost homemade" Mexican dish. Good on a cold night when you've had a busy day as most of the ingredients are bought or you may have on hand as it so quick to bake & serve . You have your main dish and salad all in one! You may prefer to make your own chili in a crock pot and have it ready to use before you make the pie.

Ingredients
- 1 bag tortilla chips
- 2 cans chili
- 8 ounces mexican blend shredded cheese
- 2 medium tomatoes or canned tomatoes, drained
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- - shredded lettuce, sour cream
- 1 package taco seasoning
How To Make taco pie

Step 1In a 1 1/2 qt. Casserole dish, spread Tortilla Chips over bottom. Spread chili over chips, layer onions. Bake in 350 oven until heated through, add cheese on top and bake until melted.

Step 2Remove from oven, top with tomatoes and lettuce. Serve with a dollop of sour cream and/or Salsa if desired.

Step 3If you like it more spicy, add a couple of chopped jelapenos or chili powder on top of chili. You may add 1 1.25 oz package Taco Seasoning to chili or additional chili powder.
