I am ALWAYS asked to bring this dish to parties - even the neighborhood store clerks ask me if i make a batch can i save them some - hehe

Ingredients

  • 5 pounds potatoes, russets, cut in cubes
  • 2 cups real bacon bits
  • 1 bunch fresh chives - chopped fine
  • 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese (not the fine shred)
  • 1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
  • 3 cups sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon butter flavored seasoning (molly mcbutter or one like it)
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup milk (just to thin the dressing)

How To Make loaded baked potato salad

  • Step 1
    Boil potatoes till fork tender (dont over cook), remove from heat - drain and let cool.
  • Step 2
    Meanwhie - mix together the rest of the ingredients.
  • Step 3
    Carefully mix potatoes and dressing mixture together - being careful not to break up the potatoes too much. Chill over night.
