capers, drained and rinsed

chicken stock, light
1 Tbsp
vegetable oil
2 tsp
mustard, spicy brown
1 Tbsp
vinegar
pinch
pepper

How to Make German Potato Salad (Kartoffelsalat)

Step-by-Step

  • 1Cook the potatoes in their jackets in lightly salted water; when the potatoes are cooked and cool enough to handle, peel and slice them, and drop them into a bowl.
  • 2In a small bowl, whisk the remaining ingredients; taste, and adjust seasonings.
  • 3Pour dressing over the potatoes, and marinate for 30 minutes before serving the salad.
  • 4Serve warm or cold.
  • 5NOTE: May use lemon juice in place of vinegar.
