my husband is from the Netherlands where they eat a lot of potatoes with various other veggies mashed into them. This variation of a cold potato salad is a very tasty alternative to traditional recipe for us Americans!

Ingredients

  • 6-8 - potatoes
  • 3 - diced kosher baby dill pickles
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced green pepper
  • 1 cup cubed precooked ham
  • 1 1/2 cups mayonnaise

How To Make dutch potato salad

  • Step 1
    this recipe is very basic and can be made to suit your own personal tastes. You can use shredded cabbage, or carrot, the possibilities are endless. I do not add salt to this, but you can if it suits you.
  • Step 2
    peel and boil potatoes and drain, then mash.
  • Step 3
    Stir in mayonnaise and added cut veggies and cubed ham.
  • Step 4
    What's nice is you can eat this right away while it is still warm or chill it and eat it cold.
