Ingredients

  • 8 ounces ziti, penne or favorite pasta
  • 14 ounces diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sweet onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes in olive oil, chopped
  • 1/3 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped (or 2 teaspoons dried)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt and black pepper, or to taste
  • 1 1/4 cups Italian blend shredded cheese

How To Make warm pasta salad

  • Step 1
    Cook pasta according to direction.
  • Step 2
    Meanwhile, combine tomatoes, oil, vinegar, garlic, onion, sun-dried tomatoes, basil, salt, and pepper.
  • Step 3
    Drain pasta. Add to veggies. Toss well.
  • Step 4
    Add 1 cup of cheese, toss again. Adjust seasonings, sprinkle on remaining cheese. Serve warm or at room temperature.
