vermicelli salad

This was a salad that my Mom used to make. She has left us now, but I will carry this salad on for her.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (12 oz.) vermicelli (thin spaghetti)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons accent
  • 4 tablespoons wesson oil
  • 1 can ripe olives, small can sliced
  • 4 - celery, ribs chopped
  • 1 bunch green onions, some tops
  • 1 medium sweet bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 jar chopped pimentos, small jar
  • 1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup miracle whip

How To Make vermicelli salad

  • Step 1
    Cook, rinse and drain Vermicelli (or spaghetti).
  • Step 2
    Whip together lemon juice, accent and Wesson oil and pour over well drained vermicelli.
  • Step 3
    Chop fine and add to the above: ripe olives, celery, onions, sweet pepper and pimentos. Mix well.
  • Step 4
    Blend together mayonnaise and Miracle Whip and add to vermicelli mixture.
  • Step 5
    Refrigerate overnight. Salad gets better with age.
