tangy macaroni salad

I seldom enjoy macaroni salad. All those I've eaten are either to sticky or too bland, or both. I think macaroni salad, and potato salad as well, should help moisten your mouth when eating a sandwich, so I like mine "loose". At a church potluck, the minister complimented me, saying this is the only macaroni salad she liked. People who do not like vinegar or moist salads will not like this.

Ingredients
- 1 cup 1 cup of mayo or light mayo, not salad dressing.
- 2 tablespoons vinegar, white vinegar best.
- 1 tablespoon prepared mustard, yellow or brown
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup finely chopped green or red bell pepper
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 8 ounces elbow macaroni (cook and drain it)
How To Make tangy macaroni salad

Step 1Boil a few quarts of water. when boiling, add 8 oz. of elbow macaroni.

Step 2In the meanwhile finely chop the bell peppers and onions. Set aside.

Step 3Combine the first six ingredients to make the dressing.

Step 4Drain the macaroni and toss to rid from water.

Step 5In a large bowl, stir in all ingredients,cover and chill.
