Great side dish to have at BBQ's. Easy to make and good whether you make the dressing yourself of use shop bought dressing.
I have also added chopped cucumber and it changes it up slightly and it makes the dish go a little further. It's a hit with all the family and you can substitute wheat pasta and lo-fat dressing if you want a healthier dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    pre-cooked de-veined shrimp (cut in halves)
  • 1 lb
    tri-colored pasta
  • 1 small
    onion finely diced
  • ·
    mrs dash garlic & herb seasoning (to taste)
  • 1 bottle
    thousand island dressing (or make your own-recipe below)
  • ·
    salt and pepper (to taste)
  • THOUSAND ISLAND DRESSING (1)

  • 1 1/8 c
    mayonnaise
  • 4 Tbsp
    ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp
    white vinegar
  • 3 tsp
    sugar
  • 4 tsp
    sweet pickle relish
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper
  • THOUSAND ISLAND DRESSING (2)

  • 1 c
    mayonnaise
  • 1/4 c
    chilli sauce (maggi's)
  • 2
    eggs, hard boiled and chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    green onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    celery, chopped
  • 4 1/2 tsp
    onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp
    paprika
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt

How to Make Shrimp Pasta Salad

Step-by-Step

  1. Cook pasta until tender, drain and run under cold water to cool. .
  2. Add balance of ingredients and mix well, use Mrs Dash & Salt & Pepper to taste

    Mix all ingredients together and chill before using
