Ingredients

  • 3 cups water
  • 1 pound uncooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups penne pasta
  • 1/2 cup diced celery
  • 1/2 cup sliced ripe olives
  • 1/2 cup sliced water chesnuts
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

How To Make pasta & shrimp salad

  • Step 1
    Bring water to a boil; add shirmp and return to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 3 to 5 minutes. Drain well; rinse with cold water. Chill.
  • Step 2
    Cook penne pasta according to package directions; drain. Rinse with cold water; drain well.
  • Step 3
    Combine mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper.
  • Step 4
    Combine veggies, pasta, shrimp and mayonnaise mixture and toss until coated and well combined. Cover salad and chill. Yield: 4-6 servings.
