Two of my most requested side dishes by my husband and children are potato salad and pasta salad. Even thought they create 2 very different dishes when prepared I make them almost identically. No mater how much I make it is very seldom that the leftovers last until the next day.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces pasta of choice
  • 5 - eggs, hard boiled
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 package real bacon pieces
  • 1 cup mayonaise
  • 1 package ranch dip mix
  • 1/4 cup green olives, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons tony's seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon celery seed

How To Make pasta or potato salad

  • Step 1
    Depending on whether you are making pasta or potato salad, boil your pasta or chopped potatoes (about bite sized) until done. Your pasta should be al dente, your potatoes should be fork tender.
  • Step 2
    Boil your eggs until done, peel and chop them. Finely chop your onion and olives.
  • Step 3
    In a large bowl add your pasta or potatoes, add all other ingredients and stir until well mixed.
  • Step 4
    Cover and refrigerate until cold. ***If you cant find Tony's seasoning any cajun seasoning or house seasoning should do well.
