My mom sometimes made this instead of potato salad at potlucks and cookouts. I was always excited when it made the rotation!

Ingredients
- 16 ounces macaroni
- 4-5 large carrots, scraped and grated
- 1 large sweet onion, chopped
- 1 large green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cups mayonnaise
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- salt and pepper, to taste
How To Make macaroni salad

Step 1Cook the macaroni according to the package directions; drain. Rinse with cold water and drain well.

Step 2Combine the macaroni, carrot, onion, and bell pepper in a large bowl; toss gently.

Step 3Combine the mayonnaise and the remaining ingredients in a small bowl; stir well. Pour the dressing over the macaroni mixture; toss gently to combine.

Step 4Cover and chill for 8 hours (mixture will thicken as it chills).
