Got this out of one of my cookbooks...I thought at first just like your thinking when you read the ingredients. But trust me, this is the best macaroni salad I've ever had and ever will make.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lg. elbow macaroni, cooked, drained & rinsed
  • 1 - bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 4 cups shredded carrots
  • 1 can eagle brand milk
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

How To Make macaroni salad

  • Step 1
    Cook macaroni, then cool and drain.
  • Step 2
    Combine milk, vinegar,suagr, mayonnaise,salt and pepper. Add vegetables and mix well.
  • Step 3
    Let set overnight. This will be thin but liquid will absorb overnight.
