I created a recipe for macaroni salad that will be out of your mind. I made a creamy honey mustard dressing. It's perfect with baked or fried chicken.

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces dry elbow macaroni
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 banana pepper, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons sweet and tangy seasoning, divided
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 8 ounces cream cheese,softened
  • 3 tablespoons honey mustard
  • 1 medium red onion, chopped
  • 2 medium carrots, grated
  • 3/4 cup chopped honey roasted peanuts

How To Make honey mustard macaroni salad

  • Step 1
    Cook macaroni in a large pot of boiling water until al dente. Drain; rinse in cold water. Set aside.
  • Step 2
    Heat olive oil in a large deep skillet over medium heat. Add sliced banana peppers and saute for 3 minutes or until tender.
  • Step 3
    Season with 1 tablespoon sweet and tangy seasoning. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Step 4
    In a medium bowl, whisk heavy cream, mayonnaise, cream cheese, honey mustard, and remaining sweet and tangy seasoning together until combined.
  • Step 5
    In a large bowl, combine cooked macaroni, sauteed banana peppers, chopped red onion, grated carrots, and chopped nuts;stir together with a fork.
  • Step 6
    Stir in dressing and mix well. Refrigerate for 2 hours before serving.
