hawaiian macaroni salad
Browsing reels and found this recipe for macaroni salad from C J Eats recipes and it looked so good I had to try it. There is a wonderful tang from the vinegar and a lovely creaminess from the mayo. Will be a hit at the family BBQ or potluck.

Ingredients
- 1 pound elbow macaroni
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup onion shredded
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- 3 scallions chopped
- 5 ounces tuna
- 3 hard boiled eggs chopped
- 2 1/2 cups mayonnaise (divided)
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
How To Make hawaiian macaroni salad

Step 1Overcook macaroni in salted water 3 to 4 minutes longer than recommended for al dente. Drain and cool

Step 2While mac. Is cooking shred carrots, onion, chop scallions

Step 3Add vinegar to macaroni and stir.

Step 4Add salt and peppers.

Step 5Add 2 cups mayonnaise and stir all ingredients together well.

Step 6Cover with saran or foil and chill for 1 hour.

Step 7After chilling add last 1/2 cup mayonnaise if needed to bring to preferred consistency.
