Ingredients

  • 16 oz
    bow tie pasta
  • 8 oz
    frozen peas
  • 1 c
    green peppers
  • 1 c
    chopped onion
  • 1 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • DRESSING

  • 1 c
    mayonnaise
  • 1 dash(es)
    ground red pepper
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground mustard
  • 1 tsp
    dried crushed parsley
  • 1 c
    parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 c
    buttermilk

How to Make Easy Bow Tie Pasta Salad

Step-by-Step

  1. Cook Pasta according to instructions and when it is done turn off the heat and add the peas. Drain in 3 minutes and run under cold water. Put in a bowl
  2. Noodles should be cool...Add chopped onions, green peppers, and shredded cheddar and set in fridge.
  3. Add red pepper, garlic powder, ground mustard, and parsley to parmesan cheese and stir till it is mixed. Add mayonnaise to this mixture and then add buttermilk. Make sure the buttermilk, mayo, and dry ingredients are combined.
  4. Pour over noodles and vegetables, combine well and chill for 1 hour.
