chicken pasta salad

This salad is great right away but even better if stored overnight in the refrigerator. My husband, who does not like pasta salads, loves this one.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. packages med. macaroni shells, cooked
  • 4 medium chicken breasts cooked and cubed. (I bake mine)
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 4 cups green grapes - whole
  • 1/2 package craisins (sweetened dried cranberries)
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup mayonaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup sweet pickle relish
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

How To Make chicken pasta salad

  • Step 1
    Cook chicken however you prefer. I usually season and bake mine for 20 min. @350
  • Step 2
    Boil shells until tender
  • Step 3
    In large bowl assemble shells, chicken, diced celery, green grapes, pecans and craisins.
  • Step 4
    Dressing: In small bowl mix mayonaise, sour cream, sweet pickle relish, seasoned salt, curry powder and sugar.
  • Step 5
    Add dressing to chicken mixture and stir to coat. I usually use remaining craisins to decorate the top of the salad.
