Karen Phillips

This a good refreshing salad that takes little prep time. I make this a lot in the summertime and it is Phillips' family tested and approved. It works great at cookouts. We like it with broccoli but you can add any veggie(s) you want and it will be good.

How to Make Cheddar Pasta Salad

  • 1Boil pasta until slightly firm but not soft. Once done drain and rinse with cold water until pasta is chilled.
  • 2While pasta is cooking whisk mayonnaise and sugar together and set aside.
  • 3In a large bowl combine cooked and chilled pasta, onion, cheddar cheese, and broccoli. Pour desired amount of dressing over and toss well. Serve cold.
  • 4Helpful Tips:
The sauce or dressing mixture is usually a 2:1 ratio of mayonnaise to sugar. Add as much or as little as you desire to the pasta salad to moisten.
