This salad is quick and easy and a bit different from the "normal" pasta salad. I'm often asked to bring this to gatherings and cookouts in summer.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    bow-tie pasta, cooked and drained and cooled
  • 1 lb
    bacon, diced, cooked, drained
  • 1 bunch
    green onion, chopped, white and green parts
  • 1 pt
    cherry or grape tomatoes, sliced in halves
  • 1
    5 ounce container fresh grated parmesan cheese
  • 1
    30 ounce container of mayonnaise - do not use salad dressing
  • 3-4 Tbsp
    cider vinegar
  • 3-4 Tbsp
    sugar

How to Make Bow-tie Pasta Salad

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. In a smaller bowl, combine mayonnaise, vinegar and sugar.
  3. Combine the mayonnaise mixture with the pasta mixture in large bowl. Serve immediately or refrigerate until you are ready to serve.
