Another Historic recipe found in that old farmhouse with so many unique and fascinating recipes. I found a treasure of history and would like to share with like minded people. I hope you enjoy them as well.

Ingredients

1 medium
cabbage, shredded
2
green peppers, cut julienne
2
sour pickles
2 oz
pimentos
1 dash(es)
celery seed
1/8 tsp
garlic powder
2 dash(es)
olive oil
1 dash(es)
vinegar
salt and pepper, to taste
1/8 tsp
sugar

How to Make Woodchuck Relish

Step-by-Step

  • 1Combine vegetables, (I chop the sour pickles in my food processor) in a mixing bowl.
    In a separate small mixing bowl add garlic powder, olive oil, vinegar, pepper,& salt.
  • 2Add oil mixture to the vegetable mixture. toss to coat the vegetables and sprinkle sugar on top.
  • 3* I found this to be like a coleslaw with a twist from the normal.
