unknown herb

I have an herb growing in my garden that I do not, and cannot, find the English word for. In Polish, we call it "maggi" (pronounced like the name, "Maggie"). It is a perennial, grows tall (about 3, 4+ feet), has thick green stalks and leafy leaves that resemble celery leaves, and is light green in color. The taste is of a very intense soy sauce, so I always just call it a "soy sauce plant". The leaves are broken off and used in marinades, soups, etc. I have asked everyone that comes over to taste it, identify it, but no one knows what it is. Does anyone know what I am talking about / can help me identify it??
