Another recipe from my years stationed in Germany - this is a quick way to use your fresh summer tomatoes or those wonderful cherub cherry tomatoes.

  • 3 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 2 tsp
    "brown and spicy" mustard
  • 2 Tbsp
    cider or red wine vinegar
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 medium
    tomatoes, halved and sliced (or use halved cherry tomatoes)

How to Make Tomatensalat - Tomato Salad


  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, mustard, vinegar, salt and pepper.
  2. Add tomatoes; stir to mix. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes.
