Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup distilled white vinegar
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 8 cups green cabbage, coarsely shredded (about 1/2 large head)
- 1 cup red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 cup green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 - carrot, coarsely shredded
How To Make texas slaw

Step 1Whisk sugar, vinegar, and oil to blend in large bowl.

Step 2Add remaining ingredients and toss to combine.

Step 3Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Step 4Cover tightly and refrigerate at least 4 hours, tossing occasionally. (Can be prepared 2 days ahead. Keep refrigerated.)
