I love to make this in the summer with all the fresh vegetables. It is also very easy and keeps the kitchen cool on those hot summer evenings.

Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 2 medium tomatoes chopped
- 1 cup onions chopped
- 1 medium bell pepper chopped
- 1 can canned kidney or black beans
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- bottle tortilla chips
- 2 bottles 16 ounce thousand island dressing
- 1 bunch romaine lettuce head
How To Make taco salad

Step 1Brown and drain hamburger. Set aside and cool completely.

Step 2Chop tomatoes, onions, bell pepper and lettuce, place in salad bowl.

Step 3Grate cheddar cheese and lightly crush tortilla chips. Add to salad bowl.

Step 4Return the hamburger to salad bowl with all other ingredients. Add beans and toss all ingredients together.

Step 5Add thousand island dressing and mix completely. Serves 6-8
