sweet and sour fruit slaw
A very different slaw. I've noticed cottage cheese making a comeback and found this recipe in my mom's old recipe box.

Ingredients
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1/4 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 small cabbage, coarsely shredded
- 1 medium red delicious apple, unpeeled and chopped
- 1 cup seedless red or green grapes, halved
- 1 can mandarin oranges (11 ounce), drained
- 1/4 cup raisins
- red delish apple wedges, to garnish (optional)
How To Make sweet and sour fruit slaw

Step 1Combine the cottage cheese, milk, lemon juice, vegetable oil, and honey in the container of an electric blender or food processor, and process until smooth. Set cottage cheese mixture aside.

Step 2Place cabbage, chopped apple, grapes, oranges, and raisins in a large bowl; toss gently to combine. Pour the reserved cottage cheese mixture over the cabbage mixture; toss gently to combine.

Step 3Cover and chill thoroughly. Garnish, if desired.
