Supreme Bean Salad

A multi-bean salad with a sweet/sour flavor that's low in calories.

green beans, 16 oz can, drained
1 can(s)
yellow wax beans, 16 oz can, drained
1 can(s)
kidney beans, drained
1 can(s)
8 oz can chick peas, drained
8 oz
italian green beans, thawed and drained (1/2 bag)
8 oz
frozen peas, thawed and drained (1/2 bag)
1 pkg
frozen pearl onions, thawed and drained
1 c
chopped green pepper
1 c
thinly sliced red onion or vidalia
1 jar(s)
2 oz jar diced pimientos, drained
1 tsp
minced fresh garlic
3/4 c
white vinegar
1 Tbsp
vegetable oil
1/2 tsp
1/2 tsp
16 pkg
sugar substitute or about 1/4 cup sugar to taste


1Combine first 11 ingredients in a large bowl, set aside.
2Combine vinegar, oil, salt and pepper in a small sauce pan; bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Stir in sugar substitute or sugar. Pour over vegetables and toss gently. Cover and chill at least 3 hours or overnight, stirring occasionally. Drain before serving.
