The bacon, oranges, onions and spinach make this a delicious salad. Add some of the sweet/sour poppy seed dressing and you've got one of my family favorites!

Ingredients

  • SALAD

  • 2 pkg
    (10 ounces each) spinach leaves, washed and torn into bite size pieces
  • 1 small
    can mandarin oranges, drained
  • 1 medium
    red onion, sliced and separated into rings
  • 8 oz
    bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • DRESSING

  • 1 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    poppy seeds
  • 2 c
    vegetable oil
  • 2/3 c
    rice vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp
    grated onion
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    dry mustard

How to Make Spinach Salad with Poppyseed Dressing

Step-by-Step

  1. Arrange salad ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. Mix all dressing ingredients in a large bowl or shake in a large mason jar. Serve with the salad. Cover and refrigerate any leftovers.
