Ingredients

  • 16 oz
    bag coleslaw mix
  • 1 small
    onion-chopped fine
  • 2/3 c
    miracle whip dressing
  • 3 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 -1/2 tsp
    celery seed

How to Make Southern Sweet Coleslaw

Step-by-Step

  1. *I run the coleslaw mix through my food processor to make it more fine*
  2. Combine coleslaw mix and onion in a large bowl.
  3. Whisk together miracle whip, vegetable oil, sugar, vinegar, salt and celery seed in a medium size bowl.
  4. Pour dressing mix over coleslaw and toss to coat. Chill until ready to serve {this taste best if chilled an hour or longer}
