Ingredients

  • 1 bunch asparagus
  • 1/4 cup + 1/3 cup ketchup, divided
  • 2 tablespoons horseradish, divided
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons sour cream
  • 2 lemons
  • 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
  • 1 head iceberg lettuce cut into 4 wedges.

How To Make shrimp cocktail salad

  • Step 1
    Trim the asparagus.
  • Step 2
    Mix 1/4 cup of ketchup, 1 Tbsp horseradish, oil, salt, and pepper.
  • Step 3
    Mix the shrimp and asparagus in the mixture.
  • Step 4
    Broil for about 5 minutes, turning halfway.
  • Step 5
    Make the dressing: Stir together 1/3 cup of ketchup, the remaining tablespoon of horseradish, sour cream, juice of 1 lemon, and 3 Tbsp of water.
  • Step 6
    Serve a wedge of lettuce with the shrimp and asparagus drizzled with the dressing.
