A summertime must as we are cilantro lovers in our house. It's a wonderful alternative to the traditional coleslaw.

Ingredients

head savoy cabbage

scallions
1/2 bunch
fresh cilantro, torn
1/2 c
sour cream
1/2 c
mayonnaise
1 1/2 Tbsp
sugar
2
limes
kosher salt
freshly ground pepper

How to Make Savoy, Lime and Cilantro Coleslaw

Step-by-Step

  • 1Shave the cabbage with a sharp knife or mandoline so that you have thin ribbons. Cut the scallions into small pieces. Toss the cabbage, scallions and cilantro in a large bowl.
  • 2Combine the sour cream, mayonnaise, sugar and the zest of the limes in a medium bowl. Season with the salt and pepper and finish with a squeeze of lime juice. Pour over cabbage mixture and toss to combine.
